Buck Mountain Food Pantry

The Buck Mountain Food Pantry serves Earlysville, Virginia and surrounding areas. There is no need to provide proof of income or other documentation to receive. If you are in need, please come!

Do you need food?

On the second and fourth Wednesdays of every month 3–5 p.m., we give out a three-day emergency supply of nutritious food to anyone who needs it. The amount of food given varies with the size and composition of the family.

The Food Pantry takes place at our Parish Hall, just north (away from Charlottesville) on Earlysville Road from the main church.

Do you want to help?

You can support the Buck Mountain Food Pantry by:

  • Giving funds. Cash gifts are the best investment, as we can purchase food in bulk from the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank for as little as 15 cents a pound! There are two easy ways to give:
    • Send a check to the church at P.O. Box 183, Earlysville, Virginia, 22936 with “Food Pantry” in the memo line.
    • Give online and enter “Food Pantry” in the designation field.
  • Giving food and other items.
    • Perishables: Please call the church office or email Ellen Welch at elg3e@virginia.edu to arrange a donation of fresh food. Needed items include milk, eggs, cheese, vegetables, fruits, meats, and bread.
    • Non-perishables: Non-perishables can be dropped off in a collection bin inside the Earlysville Post Office at any time. Most-needed items include:
      • Baby diapers of all sizes
      • Dry pet food
      • Canned meat and fish
      • Peanut butter
      • Jelly
      • Pasta and sauce
